g>Today’s Game is a 6:07 PM CST Start
Texas 68-49 (W1) -158 @ Toronto Blue Jays 8-10 (W1) +154 – Over/Under 9 Runs
Tex P Yu Darvish (12-8, 4.54 ERA) Yu put on a good show last game vs Detroit 6 hitting them for 3 runs with 8 K’s. Lots of power in Toronto to deal with if he’s not at his best.
Tor P J.A Happ (8-10, 5.04 ERA) has been average in the trade that brought him from Houston, going 1-1 and allowing 8 runs in 9.3 innings of his 2 starts. More or less another NL convert that is having a tough time without pitcher getting to swing the stick.
Josh Hamilton Watch:
Hamilton goes 2-4, with a walk and 3 runs scored. Streak back at 2.
Josh Hamilton Prediction Tonight: 1-3, with a single, a walk and an RBI
The Computer says the Rangers Start off slow.
BLUE JAYS 4.9 TEXAS 4.0
-Less than 40% like Toronto today as home dogs. Fade the public.
-Less than half like the Under. We have a slight lean towards it.
-Toronto’s DH, Edwin Encarnacion is questionable for today, but could
make a difference in this game so keep an eye on him.
-Texas is 84-35 +19.8 units since 2011 as a 150+ favorite.
-Toronto is 30-43 -16.9 units this season in night games.
-The Jays are 43-26 +21.1 units on Fridays since 2010.
-The Toronto Blue Jays are 23-13 +12.89 units since 2011 after 3 or more straightlosses.
Rangers tend to let down after a big game, and as much as the Blue Jays are offering much of their AAA Las Vegas squad to hit the Rangers Ace, it’s not even close to a sure thing. Clearly Encarnacion is questionable, Lawrie is still out, and Rasmus is ailing. One thing the Jays have still is speed on the bases, but will they end up getting there is the question.
Despite the slight margin of Under, we feel that the under could be a nice entertainment play for tonight. So many question marks on the winner, but if you were to bet this game, watching for the starting lineup near start time would be the key tonight.
