Rangers Look To Avoid Sweep Against Yankees

Last Game:

Matt Harrison pitched a pretty good 5 hit -1 run game, and Ogando let the barn door open letting 2 more in the 7th.  The Rangers didn’t do anyone any favors by getting 2 hit, almost no hit.  Kuroda really looks like the Ace the Yankees paid dearly for.  The Computer liked the Yankees, but we didn’t play it, just a little beer money on the over that never came.

Today’s Game is a 6:05 PM CST Start

Texas 67-48 (L2) +111 @ New York Yankees 69-47 (W4) -121 – Over/Under 9.5 Runs

Tex P Scott Feldman (6-7, 4.64 ERA) gave up 4 runs in the 6th inning last game vs the Tigers, but has been steller over the past 6 starts otherwise. If the Rangers are going to win in this series, THIS would be that game.

NYY P Freddy Garcia (6-5, 4.85 ERA) has given up 4 runs, just once in his last 8 starts and is still just 4-3 in that time. With that said, he’s also given up 4 HR’s in the past 5 games.  Could be an opportunity for the Rangers?

Josh Hamilton Watch:

Josh drops the streak after 11 games going 0 for 3. Then again they were 2 hit, so not many showed up on the box score.

Josh Hamilton Prediction Tonight: 1-3 with a single, streak starts again.

The Computer says the Rangers won’t put up the numbers again today.

TEXAS 4.7 YANKEES 4.6

-Well under half of the bets like Texas as road dogs.  Public consensus fading has yielded 15-30% this season.

-NYY is 42-27-2 +11.75 units Under the total against plus .500 opponents this season.

-NYY is 46-28 +14.45 units Under the total against righties this season.

-TEX’s Scott Feldman is 26-7 Under the total with the total line is greater than 9.5.

Not loving this tight matchup tonight on a winner, but it looks like a 1 run game either way, 4-3, 5-4. Our lean is barely on the Rangers. However, the total has dropped from 10.5 runs to 9.5 and with the strong under trends listed, we think it’s worthy of a full unit play.

The Play

 1 Unit +100 Tex/NYY Under 9.5 Runs ($10 to return $21)
