Yu got back on track last night, giving up 6 hits and 3 runs, all coming in the 5th, after the Rangers were up 6-0. The computer predicted the under and P Porcello pitching like a donkey really killed the ca
use. It did have the lean on the Rangers, however, which never seemed in doubt.
Today’s Game is a 6:05 PM CST Start
Texas 67-46 (W2) +103 @ New York Yankees 67-47 (W2) -113 – Over/Under 9.5 Runs
Tex P Ryan Dempster (6-5, 2.65 ERA) came back from getting bombed vs the
Angels, to allowing just 6 hits, (None earned) in Boston. He’s 0-3 in 4 starts vs the Yankees with the Scrubs, but obviously will have a little more firepower to back him up this time around.
NYY P David Phelps (2-3, 2.42 ERA) is a fighting Irishman from N.D who comes out of the pen, and hasn’t pitched more than 5 innings in his rookie season. He’s mostly a 1-2 Innings reliever mid game. He has 56 K’s in 52 innings, but just 14 Earned runs. Getting hist first start vs the Rangers will definitely be a challenge.
Josh Hamilton Watch:
Josh with ANOTHER Homerun, going 2-3 and driving the avg up 3 more points while building his hitting streak to 10 games.
Josh Hamilton Prediction Tonight: Would be odd to see Hamilton get shut out vs a rookie reliever. So we’ll predict that he goes 2-4 with a single and a double with a couple of RBI’s.
The Computer says be careful on the Rangers today despite the rookie reliever.
TEXAS 4.4 YANKEES 4.7
*NYY is 22-11 +9.02 units Under the total this season at home against plus .500 teams.
*TEX is 126-79 +20.28 units against righty starters since 2011.
*NYY is 98-88 -19.15 units since 2011 in night games.
There is little advantage in this game as much as the avg person thinks Ryan Dempster will crush the rookie Phelps. He very well may, but something about Yankee rookies that has been gold in the past decade. On the other hand, the total has a slight lean on the under, but mostly just a beer money lean for some calculated action. This is NOT a game we want to go strongly on in any capacity.
