Last Game:
Ryan Dempster did the job he came in to do for the Rangers, pitching a 6 hit, 3 run almost 7 innings to get his first win in the AL. Jon Lester also pitched great until the 6th inning, before allowing 2 runs
in each of the next 2 innings to take the loss. The computer split the 2 bets last night getting the under but losing on the Sox.
Today’s Game is a 12:05 PM CST Start
Texas 64-45 (W1) -105 @ Boston 55-56 (L1) -105 – Over/Under 9.5 Runs
Tex P Matt Harrison (13-6, 3.17 ERA) looks to be back on track allowing 8 hits and just 2 runs last start in KC but has looked pretty average in the 2 starts before allowing 9
runs. Pretty warm in Boston, we’ll see how the ball carries this afternoon.
Bos P Josh Beckett (5-9, 4.54 ERA) has been pitching decent, but suffered a lower back spasm in his last game shortening his start to 2 innings. He only has 1 win in his last 6 starts.
Josh Hamilton Watch:
Hamilton went 2-4, a walk, and an RBI and tacked on a couple of points to the average. We’re still waiting for the long ball.
Josh Hamilton Prediction Tonight: 1-4 – A double.. driving in a run and continuing the streak.
The Computer says be weary of the Rangers again today.
BOSTON 5.5 TEXAS 4
*Teams (Boston) one game behind .500 in August at home off of a loss are a solid 27-16 +16.1% roi since 2004.
-Less than 10% of the public bets like Boston today. Public consensus is down 10-30% this season.
We like the Sox tonight particularly with the “getting back to .500” angle. The total is way too close to call, so we’ll leave it out.
