I said earlier this year that I think Roy Oswalt would be a good off season addition for the Rangers. However Jon Daniels said repeatedly Oswalt wasn't the answer.

I stated I thought Oswalt who'd take some of the burden off Yu Darvish and be there for when Feliz failed. Darvish has been spectacular so far and Feliz has even exceeded expectations.

The Texas Rangers are looking to fill the void in their starting rotation created by Neftali Feliz's shoulder injury. Feliz has stated he'd like to return to the starting rotation to finish what he started when he returns. The Rangers currently have Scott Feldman filling that hole in the rotation.

ESPN.com is reporting that a “baseball official” is saying that Texas is the favorite <

/a>to land Roy Oswalt. “Baseball officials” are also reporting that Roy Oswalt threw for LA Dodgers officials last week. So it would appear that Oswalt is where he wants to be, deciding between two number one teams for a chance at that elusive Championship hardware.

“I would be shocked if he doesn't go to Texas,” a baseball official said. “A team is going to have to greatly outbid Texas to keep him from going there.”

Jon Daniels has slightly changed his tune saying “everything is on the table.” And Ron Washington has said he's in favor of adding Oswalt.
